The artist’s path frequently involve applications. These can include festivals, markets, exhibits, grants, residencies and the like. In this one day intensive workshop, Laura will work with artists on artist biographies and CVs (curriculum vitae). An artist Biography is brief overview of an artist's background, work, and influences with the purpose of providing context for your art and to connect with audiences, galleries, and potential clients. An artist CV (curriculum vitae) is a comprehensive document that outlines your professional experience, achievements, and credentials in the arts.

Artists who register will be expected to come prepared and to stay for the whole session. The session will include lecture and discussion, writing exercises, hands on experience and work together in groups to polish the documents based on feedback. The goal of the workshop will be to leave with a working biography and curriculum vitae.
