Reserve the studio to photograph your own work
Our 450 sqft basement white room is a bright, open space that can be utilized by all types of creatives. AVA's photo studio is intended as a resource for artists to photograph their artwork for portfolios, websites, social media, temporary installations, professional headshots, and more. Please note that because AVA is a mixed-use space open to the public, we cannot accommodate photoshoots that include nude models or sexually explicit content.
The white room is free for AVA Members to reserve and use independently. Reservation includes lights, reflectors, ladders, tripods, digital cameras, and basic grip equipment.
A few things to know before your visit:
We offer a brief 5-minute orientation on the camera, lights, and tracking system — though please note we aren't professional photographers and may not be able to assist with specific setting adjustments. This resource is a great way to familiarize yourself with our camera beforehand.
You will need to bring your own SD memory card.
Reservations must be made at least 48 hours in advance and will be confirmed via email calendar invite and only during AVA’s operating hours (Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday 12-5, Friday and Saturday, 12-6, closed Monday and Tuesday).
