Whiteroom Photo Studio

Our 450 sqft basement white room is a bright open space that can be utilized by all types of creatives. The space is typically utilized to document visual art, but has been rented for a wide range of creative activities including photo shoots, temporary installations and more.

Rental of the white room includes: Lights, Reflectors, Ladders, Tripods, Digital cameras and Basic Grip Equipment.

The room is free to reserve to photograph your own work. If you need to use AVA’s camera, you will need to provide your own SD memory card. Reservation only, no less than 48 hours in advance.

Our contract photographer, Sabrina Mohler, is available to take portfolio images and professional headshots on Wednesdays from 12-5 PM and Thursdays from 12-4 PM, by reservation only, no less than 48 hours in advance.

Sabrina’s Rates: 

AVA Members: $30 per 2D work and $40 per 3D work

Non AVA Members: $40 per 2D work and $50 per 3D work

Headshots: $60 for AVA members and $70 for non AVA members

As before, each session is a one hour photo shoot with 3-5 images edited and sent to the artist and AVA within 2 business days. Edited images will be made available via Google Drive (if you have a gmail account, you have a Google Drive account). Alternatively, it is recommended that you provide your own flash/usb drive.

Note- you will be required to be present for the duration of the appointment with the photographer to help set up and take down your work and to provide feedback for your needs. This is not a “drop-off” service.

Payment for service will be due at time of appointment and can be paid at the AVA front desk.
