Died Young, Stayed Pretty Poster

FILM SCREENING, POSTER PRINTING WORKSHOP & MORE!
Friday Night, September 4, 2009

Eileen Yaghoobian

Join us for a three-part event, featuring the Chattanooga debut screening of the documentary film Died Young, Stayed Pretty and a lecture by the director, Eileen Yaghoobian; a screen printing workshop at Young Monster Studio prior to the film; and a big rock show after the film at JJ's Bohemia!  Yaghoobian, an Iranian-born Canadian filmmaker, spent four years shooting her first full-length documentary film, Died Young, Stayed Pretty, which was an Official Selection of the 2009 South By Southwest Film Festival and 2008 Montreal World Film Festival.  The film candidly explores the underground poster culture in North America.  AVA, the Chattanooga chapter of AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts), and Young Monster are pleased to bring Miss Yaghoobian to Chattanooga for a free screening and to hear her speak about the making of her documentary.  This film is not rated but contains adult language.  Visit the film Web site at www.diedyoungstayedpretty.com.
