HOW TO GET YOUR EVENT PUBLISHED
If you plan on promoting your opening, artist call, or art happening, you will probably need to write a press release. A press release is a brief statement issued to local media to describe your event. It is extremely important to present the information in the format the publication requests. In most cases, your press release should include:
Business Name
Business Address
Contact Person Name
For immediate release:
YOUR HEADLINE (big and bold)
A paragraph describing the who, what, when, where and why of the event.
The following information can help you determine what format to use for publications located in the Southeast including Nashville, Knoxville, Atlanta, Birmingham, and Chattanooga.
