Become a director, set designer, writer, or videographer with these three new and exciting programs for summer 2011. Presented by the
Association for Visual Arts (AVA) on the beautiful Baylor School campus, these enrichment
programs will introduce you to the art of filmmaking! These three,
weeklong sessions will focus on 2-D animation (week 1), short narrative video (week 2), and creating a music video
(week 3). These classes take place on Baylor’s campus and with expert
instruction by AVA artists.

2-D Animation / Ages 12-17
Eric Keller
This session will focus on 2-D stop motion animation techniques. Baylor School and AVA will provide all
equipment, art supplies, digital cameras, and computer technology. Students will work in teams to
create their own animated movie, and the week will culminate in a mini
film festival with a premiere of the finished work for family and
friends.

Short Video 101 / Ages 12-17

"From Script to Screen: Making a Short Video" will focus on writing, directing and editing a video short. This class will introduce participants to the process of getting a short video made, from the idea phase, through production and editing, post-production and beyond

Music Video 101 / Ages 12-17
Jon-Michael Brown
Learn how to create a music video from start to finish. Lighting, sound,
sets and videography are just a few of the areas students will explore
in this one-week class dedicated to making a music video.
