FRESH Emerging Artists Exhibit

AVA’s commitment to supporting young and emerging artists remains a touchstone of the organization.
FRESH is an annual exhibit designed to help emerging artists gain valuable professional experience and exposure for their work. This competitive, juried exhibit features artists at an early stage in
their career that display artistic promise, commitment to their work, and fresh ideas. This opportunity is only open to artists residing in the Southeast who have not
had a major solo show and who do not have gallery representation.

Call for Entries - 2013 AVA Juried Members Exhibition
December 6, 2013- January 4, 2014
Apply now for the 2013 AVA Juried Members Exhibition. This call is open to all artists, working in any medium that are current AVA members. The winner of the Best in Show award will receive a solo show at AVA in November 2014. AVA is honored to have Paul LaJeunesse as this year’s juror. LaJeunesse received his master of fine arts in painting from Bowling Green State University in 2006, the Elizabeth Greenshields grant in 2006, and a Fulbright grant in 2007. Currently, he is a lecturer at Georgia State University in Atlanta, GA. He is a realist landscape painter whose work deals with symbiotic relationships of light, space and structure.
